Today, the disposable napkin, an invention that revolutionized baby care, is a practical solution for the problem of wet, dirty baby bottoms all over the globe.

We are about to enter a profitable market in a country that is growing. Baby Nappies World is poised to enter the baby nappies market and penetrate it with the current fertility rate at 4.2 kids . Baby Nappies World stands ready to profit from this low growth rate, minimal local competition, and its dedicated and experienced staff. It also has excellent order procurement and effective marketing. In Botswana, the initial goal is to distribute sanitary pads and nappies for institutions and organizations such as hospitals and wholesalers.

Initial plans are to produce approximately 300 diapers per hour 5 days a week, utilizing an 8 hour working day, enabling us to produce a total of 48,000 diapers per month. As production becomes more efficient, the monthly average should be approximately 56,000. This would be diapers alone. We do plan to produce sanitary napkins, but only on an order basis.

We know that to be successful in this highly untapped market, it is necessary to be flexible, responsive, and to delight customers by providing what they desire, at the right time, in the exact quantities. Our main goal is to build and strengthen our market presence, which will be made possible by the environment in which it operates.

Our marketing strategy will mainly be focused on making customers aware of our existence, and the products which we produce. We want to ensure that the right information is available to the correct customers. Our market penetration strategy will allow us to become well-known in the market and be respected. We will ensure that our products’ prices are competitive with those of South African counterparts and that customers appreciate our product quality. To ensure we are viable and profitable, however, we will charge prices that include the cost of production as well as distribution. We are proud of the fact that most of our wholesalers, intermediaries and customers consider South African products to offer greater quality and reliability. This will force us to market our products aggressively and to provide excellent customer service to our clients to ensure a long-term relationship.

Our target markets include wholesalers, institutions, and other intermediaries that frequently order in bulk for their clients, as well concerned individuals. Hence there will be need to network with the various decision-makers/order-makers to ensure we receive orders for our products.

We intend to compensate our personnel well, so as to retain their invaluable expertise and to ensure job satisfaction and enrichment through delegation of authority. We intend to achieve optimal productivity whilst realizing the full potential of each of our employees through provision of health care, generous profit sharing, plus a minimum of three weeks vacation. We expect sales to grow from more than 748,800 in the first year, to more than 1,075,200 the second and to P1,142,000.400 the third year.
