Agriculture Fruit Farm Business Plan

Problem & Solution

Problem worth solving

People need vegetables and similar food with high nutritional quality and taste. Our national diet is a scandal. The problem of obesity is huge.

Our Solution

We use current and future agricultural technologies to produce nutritious, delicious, and organic vegetables. We start with an existing farm that has custom-innovated equipment. The addition of horticultural tech in strawberry production will enable double use of the temperature controlled overhead.

Target Market

Concurrence

Current Alternatives

Alabama is known for being one of the most renowned farming areas in the east. This creates an intensely competitive environment with a large number of industry participants. Since most produce is considered commodities and large-scale buyers tend to be more well-connected than farmers, margins can be slim and there are many rivals for wholesaler contracts. Competitive threats come from three main segments:

  • Imported vegetables with lower quality.
  • Mississippi pounds raised vegetables
  • Alabama vegetable producers.

Three farms are directly competing in the individual buyer market segment: the Anniston farm and Organics-To-You vegetable farm. Each of these rivals has produce stands that they sell to local farmers&#8217s’ markets. Organics-To-You Farm is the only one that focuses on a niche, while the rest rely heavily on federal subsidies.

Our Advantages

The Farmers Group strategy is to profitably and efficiently utilize present and future agricultural technology in the production of vegetables. The company will gain significant industry advantages by purchasing a profitable vegetable farming operation with all the required custom-innovated machinery. The climate-controlled portion of the overhead can be doubled by the additional application and use of horticultural tech in strawberry production. Farmers Group wants to consolidate the considerable goodwill it has created by not adding another high-production facility in the present supply-demand environment.

The company’s initial goals for the first one year are:

  • Prepare for the future.
  • Green Acres vegetable plant system to be moved and expanded. It is now operational.
  • Incorporate greens culture in the system.
  • The composting system must be in full production by the beginning of the second year.

The company’s long-term strategy is to discontinue products that are less profitable and replace them with more practical and economical products.
